CMD200-1 Flag and red leaves WTP film

Product No.:CMD200-1
Width:50cm

Water transfer printing film is produced through a multi-step, precision manufacturing process. Here’s a breakdown of the key stages:

  1. Pattern Design & PrintingFirst, the target pattern (e.g., wood grain, marble, abstract designs) is digitized or created via graphic design software.

  2. The pattern is then printed onto a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film base using specialized ink (often solvent-based or UV-curable) that bonds with the PVA material. This forms the "decal layer" of the transfer film.

  3. Coating & ProtectionAfter printing, a clear protective coating (usually a transparent resin) is applied to the pattern layer.

  4. This coating enhances durability, scratch resistance, and ensures the pattern adheres properly to the final substrate during transfer. The coating is cured (via heat or UV light) to set it firmly.

  5. Slitting & CuttingThe large printed film roll is slit into standard widths (e.g., 50cm, as mentioned) and cut into rolls or sheets of specific lengths, ready for packaging and distribution.

  6. Quality InspectionEach batch undergoes checks for pattern clarity, coating uniformity, and film integrity to ensure consistent quality—avoiding defects like ink smudges, coating gaps, or PVA film tears.

This process results in a flexible, water-soluble film that transfers vivid, durable patterns onto irregular or curved surfaces (e.g., furniture, auto parts, crafts) via a water-activated application method.
